Who We Are

The Kuhvee is an idea born out of a love for wildlife, escaping the everyday, and making space for nature.

Anna and James live on the outskirts of the village of Longdown,

just outside the city of Exeter in Devon,

Their family is made up of their young daughter, a retired greyhound and three mischievous sheep!

They lived in London for years, working as primary school teachers.

But the pull of the countryside and a life more connected to nature was strong,

and somehow - in the middle of a pandemic - they managed to leave the city behind

and start a new chapter in Devon.

Their little piece of land means a great deal to them.

They are part of the Devon Wildland project,

committed to creating more space for nature,

and would love to see the reintroduction of Pine Martens in the area -

one of Britain’s rarest mammals.

When they’re not up to their elbows gardening for wildlife or feeding sheep,

Anna and James are busy making sure their luxury cabin

is beautifully prepared for their next guests.

“The Kuhvee is a GEM! Honestly, I’d give it more stars if I could.”
